Ayurvedic Nutrition balances the Ayurvedic body types called Doshas. Balancing the Doshas improves the quality of digestion which removes toxins from the digestive systems. The Ayurvedic constitution is based on traditional Ayurvedic principles, and provides guidelines which help identify an individuals’ Ayurvedic biological state referred to as in the Ayurvedic texts. The seven body types called Doshas are identified as Vata~Pitta, Pitta~Vata, Vata~Kapha, Kapha~Vata, Pitta~Kapha, Kapha~Pitta, and Vata~Pitta~Kapha.
What is Vikruti? Vikruti is the current individual’s biological state influenced by diet, lifestyle, environmental changes, and cultural factors operating within and around us. The overall health and well-being of an individual is affected by the Ayurvedic biological state.
What Are The Six Tastes ~ What Are The Rasas ? They are the flavours within foods. Ayurvedic Nutrition is based on the combination of the six tastes called the Rasas ~ sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent, and astringent~. The application of the six tastes are applied to the individual Ayurvedic constitution to attain optimal digestion, a healthy gut, and well-being to enjoy FOOD again!
